synopsis
In a world where demons roam and souls are currency in an ethereal arms race, Jael - a mute emissary with a tragic past - must protect a damaged soul and shepherd it to the netherworld for purification. Unfolding on a barren, alien plain a high-octane cat-and-mouse chase ensues, with Jael's archenemy - the sinister Papa Limbo - on her trail. The fiendish Limbo has designs on the soul in question, and he will stop at nothing to gain custody. Unable to escape and outwit her nemesis when the pursuit escalates, Jael will not only have to use her warrior wherewithal to protect the celestial asset, she'll also have to use unorthodox methods to discover who sold her out to the nefarious Limbo. What's more, as Jael's crusade intensifies, she'll be confronted with a harrowing dilemma: saving the life of someone she cares for...or finish her mission with the hope of achieving salvation.
Feature film “X-Communicado”, written and directed by Brian King, executive produced by Ryan Yau and starring Jocelyn Chugg. Produced by Thousand Year Films team, Nathan Horch and Aleisha Anderson, while Daniel Horch returns to the role of Cinematographer for his follow up film feature to Father of Nations. The entire film was shot in six weeks split between Drumheller and Calgary, AB.
